Session 1 - Photography Fundamentals
You'll learn everything from switching on your camera to creating your first masterpiece using simple professional techniques which can be applied to everyday situations. Share your vision of the world and amaze family and friends!
Session 2 - Lighting Fundamentals Photography is the art of painting with light. Discover simple lighting techniques you can use in everyday situations to create amazing images, no matter what camera you're using. These techniques work just as well with video cameras too!
Session 3 - Digital Workflow Share your passion with family and friends! Enhance the photos you've captured and create presentable outcomes with your images by learning how to:
Cost: Single Session $75 or all 3 Sessions for $200 (Save $25) Time: Each session is 2 hours in duration. Usually held between 6.30pm to 8.30pm on a weeknight. Please see our latest schedule of events or newsletter for the next beginner nights. If you're interested in attending please complete our registration form. What to Bring: It is preferred that you bring your own camera. Please familiarise yourself with operating your camera in Manual mode (or bring along your camera instruction booklet and we'll show you how). If you don't have your own camera, just let us know beforehand and you can borrow one of our Digital SLRs.

| Model Nights | ||
|
Provides the opportunity to photograph models in various themes, experiment with lighting, and develop a personal portfolio. We will focus on one theme per session.
Cost: $150 per session Time: 3 hrs practical with a model. Suitable for all photographers including beginners. Model Nights are usually held every Tuesday evening (6.30pm to 9.30pm). What to Bring: It is preferred that you bring your own camera. Please familiarise yourself with shooting in manual mode (or bring along your camera instruction booklet and we'll show you how). If you don't have your own camera, just let us know beforehand and you can borrow one of our Digital SLRs. Notes: Photographs may be used in personal portfolios (both print and online). Great opportunity to build a portfolio quickly and cost effectively, working with a variety of models. Arrangements may be made for a commercial model release if required. | ![]() |

| Model Days | ||

Similar to Model nights, but allows more time to practise, as well as learning the art of Fill Flash! (using natural light and flash in harmony). On completion of the day you will have learnt how to:
Cost: -- tba -- Time: 2 hrs theory, 4 hrs practical with 2 models. Suitable for all photographers including Beginners. Model Days are usually held one Saturday per month (10am to 4pm). What to Bring: It is preferred that you bring your own camera. Please familiarise yourself with shooting in Manual mode (or bring along your camera instruction booklet and we'll show you how). If you don't have your own camera, just let us know beforehand and you can borrow one of our Digital SLRs. Notes: Photographs may be used in personal portfolios (both print and online).
