Richard Choong is an avid landscape photographer based in Perth, Western Australia. Here is a breathtaking shot of Nature’s Window photographed in Kalbarri National Park, a must visit for overseas tourists and local cityfolk.
“We approached Nature’s Window in the afternoon and the sun was causing harsh shadows against the rocks. The iconic composition is looking through nature’s window with the Murchison River in the background, however as the light was so harsh didn’t think that I could effectively control the highlights. Instead by going around the back of the rock and I was able to better balance the sky and rock using filters to hold back the light. I like that the composition is not one that is usually seen.”
